Community Development Project
This project identifies the needs of the local community and develops programs and services to address these needs. The Project strives to sustain and build on community service networks and partnerships to promote best practice and delivery of services.
The networks we cofacilitate are:
- Bankstown Community Drug Action Team
- Inclusive Communities Network – with a focus on LGBTIQ+ issues
- Paint Bankstown REaD Working Party – with a focus on early literacy
Community events we are involved in coordinating include:
- Antipoverty Week
- Community Reading Day
- International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia
- International Women’s Day
- Refugee Week
- Wear it Purple Day
We also support the Maltese of Bankstown group who meet monthly.
