The Bankstown Community Resource Group is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1984 in recognition of the disadvantage experienced by residents of the Bankstown Local Government Area (LGA). At the time of its inception, BCRG’s aim was to increase funding for welfare services and to provide improved planning, coordination, and effectiveness of service delivery in the Bankstown LGA.
After several years of successful operation, in 1987 BCRG became an Incorporated Association. BCRG Inc has consistently grown, expanding and adapting our range of services and programs to meet the changing needs of our local community.
Our mission remains the same, to strengthen individuals and families through responsive children’s services, early intervention, and community development programs that are underpinned by the principles of access and equity, cultural diversity, and social justice.
Bankstown Community Resource Group acknowledge the Darug people as the traditional custodians of the land where we work and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
